This report, carried out by Salud por Derecho, analyzes the data from the Spanish Registry of Clinical Studies —from 2013 to 2019— and reveals that viral diseases, such as COVID-19, were among those that received the least attention before the start of the pandemic . Likewise, the report denounces an alarming lack of transparency in this area, since a quarter of the studies that have already been completed do not publish their results.
